Practical X5 & Fun 1M

With a nice sunset approaching, I got both our cars rolled out to the driveway and took a few pics.

My 1M coupe is now 3 years old and still such a fun car to drive.

Enjoy the pics.

It always give me a big grin taking it to the limit around the twisty roads. Don't think I will let it go anytime soon.

beautiful photos! i quite like the last pics of the rear shot of the F15

do you have any other plans for mods? perhaps a performance rear diffuser and a front lip would set it off nicely

Thanks buddy. No mods planned, I was thinking of Race Chip but I don't think I will as my wife will be driving the F15 most of the time and she doesn't really need more power.

I like the exhaust tip on the M-sport model so no plan to change there either. If anything, I like to get more insulation for the engine bay...I dislike the clacking diesel engine noise. LOL

I did put these on last night. :-)

I didn't find the diesel noise that intrusive, actually the insulation on the F15 is much better than the previous E70.

Nice M performance pedals!

Nice M performance pedals!
I guess I will get used to it soon. Coming from the Audi Q7 4.2TDI, it was like a petrol engine at idle and on the go.

We're not so lucky here in Australia Alan. You can pick up an 1M for around $80K , it was $110K brand new.

Thanks mate. I sure will update this post with any further mod. Just finished hard wiring the Thinkware F750 dashcam.

Hi mate, I have the Thinkware F750 and just finished installing the front one. It's very easy and there's a post on the forum detailing which fuses to use so all the info is available. I've mounted the rear but haven't yet route the cable to the front. This will be a bit fiddly as I will have to remove trims.

Haha, the dealer put it on as they knew my wife was coming along to take delivery, trying to impress her. LOL

Completed my next thing to do for our X5.

1. Clearshield film protection installed on full bonnet, full side guards, front bumper, headlights and side mirrors, rocker panels, lower 1/3 of all doors, door edges, door handle cups, door inner sills & luggage area, rear guard flares.

2.Full paint/film sealant with Final Inspection's Full Metal Jacket.

The F458 Speciale was getting the same treatment...wouldn't it be nice to have both in my garage.

Very happy with the results.

Hey

I just placed an order for an X5 in Melbourne... how do you find the display dashboard and how did it set you back?

That's the only option I wanted that I didn't get... and kind of regretting it now.

Hi mate,
From my memory it was about $900. I must say I love it, something different and it changes with different driving modes. I don't think it's available in all countries so it's cool that we got it in Aus.

Great, I really thought it was going to be in the thousands so I didn't ask. Will call dealer tomorrow to add it.

Thank you!

Awesome car! Great inside pics too! After thinking about it a lot I decided to go for the Mokka Nappa interior too for my M50d (in Space Grey), it looks like I made the right choice

Thank you.
I was also a bit worried how mocha nappa would turn out as I haven't seen one in person before ordering the car but I am loving it at delivery. Great combination with fine oak wood trim and piano black.

When will yours be ready?
