Sooooo found that the bank 2 “rubber boot” as BMW calls it…or the intake tube, as I call it…cracked where it mounts to the turbo on my 50i. Which is letting some air in post MAF and filters. I’ve ordered both bank 1 and bank 2 replacement tubes from FCP Euro. How bad is it to drive the car until they come in Wednesday? No engine light but when I pull codes I’m getting stored “bank 2 lean” codes.
I’ve been driving it this way for a bit, had seen the code occasionally but just discovered the crack. 🤦‍♂️ |

It's allowing unfiltered and unmetered air. Likely fine to drive if needed but I wouldn't for long. I most certainly wouldn't push the beast with inaccurate readings.
