Please recommend a proven, reliable (that you have used) android mmi to bring carplay into 2014 F15 (NBT).

I do like OEM display and it is in a perfect condition. Does it make sense (price wise) to replace it with a touchscreen android display with built-in carplay to replace OEM display?

Still want to use OEM mic, rear camera and idrive and steering wheel knobs.

We installed the Bimmertech Android Auto MMI Prime Retrofit kit in our 2016 F15, with the OEM display about 18 months ago and it was the best thing ever. All the OEM items still works but with the added benefits of Android Auto. We kept the OEM display since it was still in perfect condition and while the touchscreen capability would have have been nice, it wasn't worth the extra cost.

What about sound quality? Did you keep you factory microphone? Any link where you get it from?
