F15 X5 Thrust Arm worn bushings

Just curious to know if there is a way to replace ball joints on the thrust arms ?

Did anyone tried replacing the ball joints on the thrust arms/or lower control arms on F15 BMW X5 Sdrive 35I ?

There are options for replacing bushings but what about ball joints ? What if ball joints are bad ? Do we have to replace whole thrust arm ?

Easier to just replace the whole thing.

It’s not just easier…that’s all you can do if the ball joint is worn

That ball joint does not have accessible C-clip window for servicing. You're SOL, replace the whole arm and don't skimp on this. If you get that garbage no-brand replacement from eBay, you'll look to do the job again in few months. FCPeuro is a good source, and they have lifetime program behind it. Go for it.

Agreed, gotta replace them. You can get them (Lemforder) for a good price (look around) and the job is two hours max shop time so not horribly costly. Had a clunky front left and am so happy I had them done this summer…quiet again!

They wear fast. 25k miles you can tell a difference. Then it’s a slow death after that.

You can wear through some expensive tires quickly when these go.
