Thrust arm bushings longevity

Anyone have experience with the longevity of F85 thrust arm bushings (PN 31107850276)? I'm considering going this route since my bushings seem to only last around 35K miles.

I was thinking about powerflex polyurethane, but I don't want to deal with potential squeaks down the road.

I put in powerflex bushings maybe 20 to 30k miles ago. I don't get any squeeks yet. Only hear like a grunt sound If i hit a big dip in the road. Nothing that bothers me. Would install again.

Huh? My thrust arm bushings lasted 130k miles.

At that point, I could see bad outside wear on the fronts.

Probably, forever.

Thrust arm bushings don't really wear, they rip at one or both connecting points. Since F85 ones are basically a solid chunk of rubber, there's nothing to rip as there's almost no rotational movement. Unless, of course, you install a lift kit, 35 tires and whatever else the Jeep guys do.

P.S. Just checked the prices, whoa! $150+ vs. 55 I paid just 3 yrs ago. Definitely don't recommend this route.

Yeah, definitely pricey for the F85, but willing to consider it if it will last and there is no noise.

Are you tightening the bolt for the thrust arm bushing at full droop or at ride height?

My shop handles this for me, so I'm not sure. I assume this should be done at ride height?

If they tighten the bolts with the suspension fully extended, then that's why the bushings are falling apart.

Yep, definitely needs to be done at ride height, or as close to it as possible
