Hood alignment with bumper
Just curious if the front lip of the hood is supposed to stick out a bit on the X5? Hard to tell from photos if this is supposed to be flush with the bumper or not. Pic attached.

That looks a little extreme to me, hard to tell from so close up.

Silly question, but did you make sure the hood is all the way closed and not half way closed? Just making sure

Actually, looking at the not so close up pic, that is about normal and looks similar to mine.
I wouldn't worry to much about it as long as the hood doesn't shake or feels loose.

The problem is clear, it is fitting bonnet, going into service of BMW and there will regulate bonnet so that no gap,
at least as I drove his car in the service managed to regulate it my bonnet so as not to annoy me! Someone somewhere has not done his work to end! |

Open the hood and you will see 5 screws. Loosen the screws on the plastic upper portion of the bumper but do not remove them. Pull the portion of the bumper that is recessed forward and while you have tension on the bumper tighten the screws. Problem solved unless the retaining tab does not allow you to pull the plastic out far enough to meet the hood. Then it is a hood issue not a bumper issue. If that is the case go to the dealer do not try to align the hood yourself.
