Installing M Performance Grills on X6M

Just picked up X6M 2 days ago. Had the dealer install most of the M Performance Gloss Black Parts. They weren't able to locate the Grills, but I was able to find them on my own after I picked the vehicle up.

Dealer says you have to take the bumper off in the X6M to install the Grills. I find that not to be true. Can't imagine they would make such a process that difficult for DIY owners and probably not sell many of them if that was the case....

I've got the Grills and from looking at them, they are like the ones I've had replaced in a couple of my 3 Series. They just snap into place.

Can anyone confirm or deny the front bumper has to come off?

Any thread that shows the replacement process or any directions on doing it?

Thank You!!

Yeah there are several diy threads here showing step by step on how to remove and install the grills. It's going to be more difficult during colder weather though. Do a search.

Thank You! Windows are being tinted as we speak and the shop says they do that sort of stuff, so they are doing it for me.

I found a couple of threads and the guys found some videos, so they'll get it done.

If you don't plan on keeping the old part you could just rip them them out with a lot of force that will break the clips.
