Lowered Suspension

Hello, I'm looking to lower the suspension on my 2016 M sport X5 35 with 20in 469s. I'm A newb to some of these mods. Can you all post pics of your lowered cars and suspension set up recommendations. I have seen a lot on the h&r set up but am confused in regards to the spacers. TIA All.

I just don't know the right spring and spacer set up. I have seen your car in some other posts and it looks great. Its my understanding that when you lower the car with springs it makes the wheels go in more then stock and im not so sure that looks good. Can you please pm me the recommended set up and your forum price. Thanks I appreciate it.

Do you have self-leveling rear suspension?
Also where are you located at?
And how aggressive do you want to be?

hey ! i have a 2017 M sport with the stock 469 wheels. I'm lowered on H&R sport springs and I'm running 15mm H&R spacers (with extended bolts obviously) in the rear. No spacers in the front needed. The Drop is perfect, the truck looks lowered and hunkered down and with spacers push those fat wheels out nicely in the rear and the whole stance of the car is transformed and looks way sportier and aggressive.
the ride in the H&R springs is nottttt bad, many love it or hate it. i had H&R OE springs ion my modded S4 and i to used to it, yes its stiff and little bumpy but it significantly reduces body roll and handling is much improved. its just an overall sportier feel and look. i can attach some pics so you see the height and stance.

Also, as RGsport mentioned, if your ordering the suspension get either the "w/o self leveling" or "with self leveling" as appropriate to your vehicle. Here's some pics ....

I believe my car has the self leveling feature. Im waiting to hear back from my dealer to know for sure. Im located in colorado. I love the look of f15Msport car. That is the look im going for. I like the look of the car being lower to a point where you can tell the car is lowered and it looks sleeker but not slammed. r33_RGSport

007bimmer absolutely no squeaks or sounds ....i had the H&R Sport OE springs on my S4 previous to the X5 and i was very pleased with them as well, no issues for 3 years on those, I'm not expecting any issues on this set up either. Also they were installed by a reputable shop which always helps

Can you share the secret of the final 7 digits of the VIN to work out whether SL or not?

You need to decode the VIN.
I have subscription on BMW Parts Catalog.
So in your case, you can always call up your local BMW dealership and they can decode it for you and tell you.
