G05 x5
I was at Safeway yesterday with the X5 and when I came out there was a shiny new g05 40i m sport parked beside me.
The interior in that thing was gorgeous!!!!! I really like the lines and the grill did not look that bad... I kind of liked it. Brakes are huge Overall very nice, I would buy one if I was in the market...

I saw a white one on the road last week. I currently have a 2015 diesel. I think my next one will be a hybrid. I read somewhere that the new hybrid is going to have an inline 6, therefore, I would assume that it would have more power than a 40i plus better mileage.

car is gorgeous inside and out, but one thing that annoys the heck out of me is the new badge placement. x5 on the left and engine size on the right, AND lower on the lift gate, maybe just my OCD lol

Having a difficult time warming up to the rear of it, especially the taillights.

Saw a black on black G05 X5 on the interstate the other day and I was impressed at all in the looks department! Have yet to see the m sport package but F15 body style looks so much better to me.

Test drove one. The interior is definitely next level. That being said the car is hideous on the outside. They ruined the taillights. They look like something off a dodge. They are squinty and make the rear more feminine instead if haunchy and masculine. The rear diffuser is nice, but the cornered lip below the rear window and the lights kill the look. The front kidney is a damn disaster. It's grown so large that it has lost its shape. To make up for this, they used sharper geometric shapes like cutting off the corners. All in all, the F15 looks better (to my eye) on the exterior. Now if you could only combine an F15 with the 2019 interior

Been driving a G05 for about 2 weeks now and loving the tech packed into this thing.. From the hand gesture controls to the active kidney grilles, I’d say the new X5 is a winner... BUT.. I still think the F15 exterior looks better from many angles..
I was driving the new Audi Q8 a few weeks ago, now that thing is a stunner, in and out!! If the new X5 doesn’t do it for you go check them out.. |

The interior does look great and is next level. I just think the exterior does not look as classic as the F15, but I guess over time it may grow on everyone.
Did it drive better than the F15? Quote:

Love the interior. Very nice. However I went over options seems some different things are bundled together that hopefully they will fix. For example you can’t have xMode is whatever it’s called with four corner air suspension you can adjust with the road dynamic handling package. Why not? On the Cayenne I can get both together.
Rear and sides look fine to me. Looks like X3 and I like the new X3. Front is where it’s weird. That grill. Just debadge. Solves everything. |

I just went with a buddy to pick up his Alpine White G05 M-Sport yesterday. It was my first time seeing one in person and I think it looks much better in person than in pictures.
The interior is definitely a step up and the exterior has grown on me. The front grills don’t look as large in person as they aren’t chrome. Blacked out they will look smaller. I was actually surprised that for similar MSRP as my 2018, the G05 is better equipped (m-sport brakes, remote start, LEDs, 3d surround view, multicontour seats, to name a few). I was expecting a higher MSRP. If he didn’t end up buying it, I was tempted to see what I could get on trade. He was able to get 6.5% off MSRP fairly easily, which was surprising.

G05
I’m at the local dealership now and snapped a few pics of a G05. I’ll agree that the interior appears to be a bit nicer and refined than the F15. But the entire exterior kills it for me. From the buck-teeth grill to the exhaust exit ports. The grill isn’t open like the grills on F15/16s, it’s plastic behind the slats.
Rubbish This one is stickered at $67k w/21” wheels. Sorry about the poor pics, I was fighting bad lighting in the show room. |

I honestly don't think the interior is THAT much of an upgrade, and the exterior is just bland and dodge-like. Don't like it at all. I'll keep my F15 for at least 4 years, and then at that time, I'll probably switch into a CPO X3 M that will probably be just 2 years old at that point. Perfect timing.
