What to expect 30K-mile maintenance service? Battery change?

My 2015 35d is close to 30K-mile service. At last 20K service, dealer didn't change the battery saying key reader didn't show it's required. Anybody got the battery changed recently with 50K-mile/4-year free maintenance? My car's status shows brake pad and oil are still about 10K away from the change. How about diesel gas filter?

Thanks

From what I can see in the maintenance manual, the diesel filter is replaced at every 4th oil change. I had the warning for the brake pads recalibrated, since it was showing the pads as done, but still had plenty of life left.

Does BMW actually have regular service intervals, or is just based on wear and tear? I called my dealership a few weeks ago to schedule my 30k service they said BMW doesn't do that, and I should wait until my X5 tells me I need to go in for service.

Thank you about time to change gas filter. Has your BMW dealer ever replaced your battery under the maintenance program?

I believe it's later or CBS (condition based service?), but usually around 10K-miles. I have never waited until my car alerts me or BMW(by TeleServices?). The car status shows how many miles from your next service. I usually made the service visit about 1-2K miles before the due, my dealer just go ahead and do the service.

Has anybody made/sent service request manually from ConnectedDrive/Teleservices in the car to send data to BMW/dealer, and later they calls/notifys you to schedule the service visit and tell you what need to be done? I think it's cool and better prepared for both you and dealer before the service.

Thanks for the info. I've had my X5 for about 5k miles now. Since the day I got it, it displays that service is due in 3100 miles at startup, but that has decreased from 3100 miles. Is this normal and expected?

One thing BMW hides is the free yearly oil change under the maint program. If you don't hit 10k miles or whatever CBS is looking for you can still do a free yearly oil change regardless of miles.
