Spare Tire Solution

Originally I had only planned to used my newly installed Invishitch for our bikes, but now I'm also considering to bring a full sized spare with me on long road trips. I have the 3rd row option and I'm not a fan of the sealant kits. We also have a toddler so I'm always fearful of getting stranded.

What do you guys think of this? https://www.wilcooffroad.com/shop/hitchgate-solo/# It can also carry a 3 gallon fuel can for you preppers.

They also have this crazy set up lol. https://www.wilcooffroad.com/shop/hitchgate-max/

My other question is how would the baseline 18" wheel play with my staggered 20" 611M wheels? I still have all 4 of the baseline wheels or I would probably buy a replica 611M.

Carry a patch kit. Sealants are a mess but a patch kit will save you in all but the worst scenarios.

you need to keep the overall diameter. So I think OEM 18s in OEM tire sizes should work with OEM 20s that has OEM tire sizes. It's the same concept with a compact spare. The BMW spare and spec tire is the same diameter as all OEM 18-20 inch wheel/tires

He has the 3rd row option. That's where his seats go.

I was referring to just the BMW spare. It'll take up the least amount of space.

Time to use the Stuttgart method.

In all seriousness... buy a patch kit, put it next to or inside the first aid kit.

+1 for the patch/plug kit. I carry one with me after switching to go-flats, along with a 12v compressor.

I've used on everything from tractors to street slicks, including RFTs on my E70. Anything this won't fix on the highway is likely going to require a new wheel or worse.

this topic seems to be covered every few months, but I'm carrying the spare in my trunk (no 3rd row). Here's my setup:
