I was working from home today, and lunchtime went to get some food and thought I'd just pop round the dealer to look at their stock again to kill some time, only to have the transport lorry turn up as I was standing there.

Definitely lucky, I wasn't camped out on the forecourt or anything .. honest

My dealer confirmed today that mine is now due at the dealers during Week 9 (wk comm 27th Feb) which is 3 weeks ahead of schedule

Only thing with that is I've now only got 2.5 weeks left to enjoy that lovely N55 straight six and DCT box in my 135i

Great news on yours, guess you waiting for 1st March Reg change ?

I pick up mine tomorrow from the dealer as was waiting for the M performance splitter to arrive (Sat) and be installed (Mon), and I cannot sleep tonight...

One good thing is, I had an entire weekend to say goodbye to my M135i...Lets just say it has seen some ....."action"

My dateless plate is going on it from new anyway, so not really bothered by reg, although, I'll probably make sure that they don't reg it till March 1st anyway, so it ends up with the 17 plate on it when I come to sell it and take my plate off.

Get online and check with BMW Genius, if yours has already started being built this weekend, it may make the same boat?
Away skiing at the moment but heard today via email from the dealer that my car has completed production and now being processed for transportation.
So it appears I'm a week early than quoted which means mid March pick up.
If all goes well I'll be on the same boat departing 22 Feb.
So excited now the car is finished!😊

fond memories of tracking production to delivery...

Reading this thread reminded me of when I ordered my wife's 2015 Z4 in late December 2014. I went through great effort to learn all of the production codes, how the car would travel from the factory to Bremmerhaven ("Bimmerhaven"), on what ship would it travel, tracking the ship on each of its stops along the way, traveling across the Atlantic Ocean (using another on-line tracking program), seeing the ship on webcams make stops in Baltimore and Brunswick before it finally went through the VPC and then delivered to my dealer here in Florida on a very rainy day in mid-February 2015. The wait killed me but the delivery was pure joy. My wife's Z4 is now two years old with about 12,000 miles on it. Still looks as good today as it did on the day of delivery.

My 2016 X5 on the other hand, was ordered in late October 2015 and it arrived at my dealer 14 days later. Incredible speed of delivery.

Any update when yours arrives into Southampton and what the pick up date is? Bet you are constantly thinking of the new arrival and no doubt the sleepless nights will be setting in

No, date for Southampton arrival. The boat I thought it would be on it clearly wasn't as, its due at dealer a week tomorrow, or rather sometime during the week beginning Feb 27th. The boat I thought it was on wasn't due at Southampton till 1st March.
Of course it may not get to dealer until say, Thurs 2nd for example, so no idea when pick up date is yet.

No, no sleepless nights - as I said earlier, more thinking about the last week or so with my 135i than the incoming X5.

There are two things you can do,

One that doesn't always work is go to Track & Trace and enter your VIN in the Cargo ID then click Track.

That will tell you what ship you're on (if it finds your VIN) - My cars VIN never showed up on there, even though VINs that had only their last 2 numbers different from mine were showing up, mine wasn't.

The steps I took was to go to Schedules and Pick departing port as Charleston SC, Date wil be the on or next day after when your car went 9000 and Arriving port as Southampton, and click Search routes.

That gave me 2 ships close to my factory depart date, INTEGRITY which was departing the same day, and BOHEME which was 5 days later.

Mine was on INTEGRITY leaving on 12th late afternoon, and the my departed code was dated 12th also, so it made it to the ship and onboard within 24 hours of the 9000 code being updated.

So a good guess would be any ship departing on or close to that date you get.

Then you just track the ship using https://www.marinetraffic.com/

Let me know how you get on.

Just to add quickly, I didn't know at the time which ship my car was on so tracked both Ships across the Atlantic for 9 days, until the code changed to "Port of Exit".

The date of "Port of Exit" coincided with when INTEGRITY arrived in Bremerhaven so that's when I knew it was the correct ship. So focused more on INTEGRITY as it left Bemerhaven and went to Antwerp and from Antwerp onto Southampton.

When it arrived in Southampton, my code changed to Port of Entry.

Seeing it on the trailer at the dealership was 100% pure luck, I couldn't track it in the UK.

I was told by BMW Genius this morning that my delivery has now moved forward from week 13 to week 9. Can't quite comprehend this bearing in mind production finished last week and we are in week 8
I've put a call out to my dealer for clarification.

My Vin number does not show up on Track & Trace.

Hmmmnnnnn........unless they have decided to airfreight it over for you I can't see how it can be delivered in week 9 either, given how it spends at least a min of a week at sea for a direct crossing, and these ships usually stop at other ports enroute?

My car was built on Feb 3rd and departed factory same day for Charleston. It's got to be due at Bremerhaven about now, if not already there, for delivery to dealer beginning week 9.

Looks like INDEPENDANCE II is the one then, be interesting to see when it docks in Bremerhaven if your code changes to port of exit.

I would also track FREEDOM just in case the system update was delayed and you got on that ship (leaving 13th)

No harm in seeing when either reach Bremerhaven and check if port of exit is the status from BMW

Could be on FAUST, as that had a departure date of 16th Feb from Charleston, due in Bremerhaven on 27th Feb?

I reckon mine could be on RESOLVE, which left Charleston on 9th Feb (so car was sitting at port for 6 days) and is due at Bremerhaven on 25th Feb, so only two days before, hence both could arrive at dealers during week 9 on that basis...??

RESOLVE is currently sailing just north of the Azores making 15knts.

Not long now GeeRam!
I'm hoping mine is on either Independence II or Boheme both now left the States and are crossing the Pond. Two/three weeks and counting
