The seat itself seems a bit better padded, better contoured and I find the recline adds to the comfort. Keep in mind though that I am one that likes a reclined seat.

Like the poster said above, the standard rear seats are also sufficiently comfortable as well, so you will be fine.
Hm, I wonder if they made changes for 2015 . If so, that's good to hear. I'm glad they are not flimsy on your vehicles. It definitely makes it an attractive option now. Thanks for the feedback on these, both of you.

Congrats on the new car! After 7 months and 7,000 miles, I'm still thrilled with my 35d. I'm also glad that I ordered the third row and agree with your opinion on it. My 3 year old grandson rode in it from NJ to Maine and back and was very happy there. (The adults in the car wouldn't have had the same opinion and we had to make sure we had a compact car seat, but it worked out very well for us.)

I'd also encourage everyone to take Performance Center delivery. I've done it twice and it's a lot of fun!

Where can I find out more about the PCD experience? I hadn't considered it but I would like to learn more about what's involved and what makes it worth considering. Thanks!

Congrats! I am loving my 35d. I opted out of the 3rd row and spare tire to get the AWESOME "extra trunk" in the spare tire well. Its great on long trips as you can fit a LOT of extra stuff under the floor and its finished really nice as well. Racechip and a few thousand miles makes the motor really wake up and it has fantastic performance. My wife just got a GL350 Bluetec and after driving my 35d the GL feels totally gutless. The 35d motor is really impressive after its broken in and especially with the racechip.

Wanted to add that it is reviews like this that make Bimmerpost so wonderful. Really appreciate you taking the time on this and have to say I agree with pretty much all your views on what is/isn't worth it!

Nice ride bro

Any way you could post a pic of the 3rd row and the cargo space with the 3rd row in use?

Thanks in advance!

Here you go. The third row is not large. I am 6'2" and can fit only if the second row is pushed all the way up and, even then, I would not want to be back there for any length of period. Going to and from a quick location would work. It is fine for anyone 5"8 or less.

Hi,

Any clue why they are not available for M line? I ordered the M50D, but those were not an option for it. I wonder if they fit?

Thanks

They do fit and some dealers have swapped for them when there was a delay in the M wheels. However, they will not let you order off the sheet. The dealer would have to swap for you - if it is possible.

Update

Have loved my car and stand by everything in my report. The one update is that I had the chrome trim wrapped in 3M Gloss Vinyl and purchased the high end carpeted floor mates that I highly recommend. They are VERY durable.

Here is what the car looks like now. Cheers.
