I believe what you are talking about that sounds on the center on the plane with a "drilling" noise its the pumps moving fuel between the wings.
Actually the fuel pumps are immersed in fuel all the time, if you start hear these running you'd better start praying

Not hating on their success at all though. Just really shows how fortunate some are on these forums. Some people's dream cars are these guys daily beaters. Goes to show just how good these BMW's are though. People that could afford Aventedors, Mclarens etc... would consider M3's, M5 as part of their stable.

+1. Add Mercedes Benz to that list too. For some reason, almost all the medical people that I know personally including family prefer Mercedes Benz (ML, GL, S and AMG) to BMW.

Telecom engineer, i work on public telephone switches. Formerly from NYTel. Still doing same and not bored as job has become more complicated.

Looking to retire in 16 months but may have to stay on job little longer. The bug hit me and bought 2 new bimmers (3er & x5) lately inspite of 2 good running 10 year old bimmers.

Funny! Your right! The Mrs. drives a E Class, funny to look at but not fun to drive. Looking at getting 6 series next for her.

Joe, I used to have one and during POC track day, I am totally out of place.
They all were talking about their practice etc.
I wish I could say that I am also a doctor, car doctor. Since cars are my patience.
