2017 X5 50i F15 M Sport Back Seat White Metal Hookups

I was just wondering if other BMW X5 owners (M Sport or not with no 3rd row) can show a picture of their back seats. There are 2 white metal prongs for the baby seat attachment that appears in plain view.

BMW Calgary responded to my inquiry saying that it is normal and their new vehicles are showing this. I think it is crappy that it is showing in mine and in other 2017 vehicles differently.

Hmm, I do remember that mine didn't that visible since I have to fight the cushion when installing a car seat.
Maybe because different seat option? Mine was the M Sport non 3rd row.

Doesn't BMW usually "cap" those off?

I will take a look at my '17 to see if I have those.

Mine is an M Sport with no 3rd row as well. They showed me other models of the X5 with it shown. I am disappointed that a vehicle at this price point would have these ugly thing showing in plain sight.

That's tacky to say the least. You have to really "dig" to feel mine, and they are nowhere near visible without pushing down on the leather. 2014 MY.

The latches in my car are visible just like that. They should have been black or chrome to "disappear" into the seat. I don't recall if the latches in my previous E70 were this noticeable.

I dislike how Calgary BMW have conducted business so far since I got this vehicle. First there was the oil leak from the motor oil bottle that came with the vehicle. They asked me so many questions to make sure that it wasn't their fault in order to clean it up. Pretty much they tried to put the blame on me for a loose cap in the motor oil bottle.

Then there was the issue of not including the cargo area cover. If I hadn't noticed I would never have received it.

Now it is this issue. Their responding with the idea that the model should look like this. I think it's shoddy craftsmanship or poor quality inspection.

I now wonder what else did not come with the delivery of the vehicle.

Going to try to sell this vehicle and go with Mercedes or Porsche instead. I'm furious.

They are body color... Whichever color your exterior paint is that is the color of the LATCH points.

automakers are shying away from hiding them because we live in a lucrative litigious nation that sues and people are too stupid to do anything more than glance rather than get involved and read a manual or use their hands.

The bottle of motor oil that comes with the vehicle to top off when your oil level gets low before your oil change. It spoiled all over the cargo area until I noticed it as I was cleaning out my vehicle.

Mine are not visible, but I've seen ones that are visible. It wouldn't bother me the slightest if it was visible. I think it'd be easier to use if it was visible not to mention it's not possible for any sitting passenger to be affect by this.
