But it's technically speaking a X5M... just the diesel version.

The triple turbo oil burner is a Motorsports version of the dual turbo diesel (now) available (again) in the NA market ... 381HP and a stump pulling 546 torque - its a beast. Too bad we can't get it in North America. The badge is a bit much though - "X5 M 50 D" ...

There are many who would take issue with characterizing it as a "diesel X5M" because it uses the N57S which is not, to my knowledge, built by Motorsport. I believe BMW is drawing a distinction between "M" and "M Performance" cars, the latter being a mid-tier compromise between M Sport and M vehicles.

Either way...I sure wish we got it here!

FYI, Detailed Image currently has 15% off on all Sonax products.

Agreed it's mainly a marketing designation as opposed to an actual M division product...

I used Sonax and liked it

Recently switched to nextzett 97000515 Colortec Wheel Cleaner per the recommendation of a friend. It smells to high heaven so I will be going back to Sonax once this is done (Sonax isn't pleasant smelling either but still way better than the nextzett formulation)

Same thing, both of them turn purple to show the oxidization of iron particles

Honestly, if you clean your wheels with regular soap and water when you wash your car, a dedicated wheel cleaner isn't really needed.

Agreed. If you like sonax, I am pretty sure the BMW brand is a re-branded package of that.

Check out my review on it but I did a few years ago.

It's actually quite a bit cheaper for the BMW brand cleaner than is for sonax.
