Congrats Kzang! Great video. I like it that you wife said 'leave them alone' when you pointed out the two-tone grills, then proceed to walk out of the dealer with new grills before you ever drive the car .

BUT: Is that a dealer badge I see stuck on your $80k car!? Unless they are paying you monthly for the advertising, drive that sucker back and make them take it off! (Yes, I know you can remove it yourself, but they should be punished).

My dealer attaches their advertising to the car, but at least its the plate frame that you have to remove anyway when you get your permanent plates (and then theoretically put back on the new plate. Right.)

I'm debating between terra with the mc seats or cognac w/o mc seats (not available in that color/config) for my x6 order.
I am sure you can search on here and find lots of pictures
When I have a chance I will try to upload some!

The kicker is that my wife offered to pay for it!!

Yeah, I took off the badge as soon as I got home and realized it was on there. It looks like they just put it on because I was able to just remove with little effort.

Hi xtothepowerof6, I used a HDR ( High Dynamic Range ) software to touch up the photos. There is a free one from Google+ app you can use.

Thanks for the compliments

MPPK Tune installed

so I drove around for 20 minutes with just the MPPK and so far I feel like it is similar to RC ultimate at setting C but it feels more smoother? I don't know if that makes any sense. I can feel the instant torque low end power and I really like my X5 now. I'm still contemplating if I want to add RC or not. I want to drive around with just the MPPK for a week before thinking about adding RC just to get a feel of the new tune for a bit more.

Ordered the M Performance rear diffuser and M Perfomance Exhaust system and installed at the dealer.

They placed the old exhaust in the back

First cold start at the dealer and there was lots of popping but when driving I don't hear any popping noise in sport mode. When I left off the gas and come to a slow stop there is like faint rattling sound coming from the exhaust.
Maybe after I put more miles on the exhaust? Upon first inspection I noticed that the right exhaust tip stuck out more than the left side so I had two tech readjust it. Now it sits perfectly.

So far I love everything about the exhaust sound. My X5 sounds so exotic lol. I'm happy that the passenger side is always opened too.

Thanks to a heads up message from aw305 and Doanster
I purchased from autogeek.net and they had a 25% discount and free shipping.

Nanoskin Auto scrub -Fine Grade wash mitt
http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-aut...ine-grade.html
Acts as a clay bar or better.. Never tried it but heard some very good things about it. I plan to use this to get rid of any contaminants from the paint finish.

Lubricant for the Nanoskin Auto scrub
http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-glide-lubricant.html
Needed to use with the nanoskin.. dilute with water and use in a spray bottle.

Optimum Gloss Coat is now available in a 20 cc size! This gives you enough product to coat a full size SUV or two average sized vehicles.
For a limited time, Optimum Gloss-Coat includes a free 16 x 16 inch Gold Plush Microfiber Towel!

Optimum gloss coat is on!

I highly recommend this product and also the nanoskin mitt which acts as a clay bar but a lot easier to use. I noticed that my paint was 10 times cleaner after using this mitt. I'm pretty happy with the end result!

My DIY found here http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1210030

Here is my step by step pictures of swapping out the OEM chrome emblem to gloss black emblem I got from iND. iND uses OEM emblems and paints it to your liking.

Factory emblem...

Items used: 70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol, Microfiber cloth, automotive exterior tape or painters tape, dental floss or thin fishing line. Optional: hair drier to help remove the adhesives easier.

Mark the location of the factory emblem by creating a frame around it with painters tape.

Work the emblem with the dental floss in a sawing motion slowly.. you will more than likely break a few strings but keep working it and have patience.

If your car is fairly new, the adhesives should come off easily... I just used my fingers and rubbed the adhesives and peeled them off. I used a little of the rubbing alcohol to help with the removal.

After completely removing the adhesives, I used the rubbing alcohol to wipe the area down clean which helps with the bonding of the new badges.

The X!

All you do now is just line up the emblem from the left and right side of the frame and press firmly.

When you order and install MPPK for your 35i, you should also get a small MPerformance decal that comes included with the kit. Normally dealers don't install decal and I'm guessing it is because most customers prefer not to. I was one of them, however I recently saw a CBM X5 Msport with this decal and I thought it looked pretty good. So I dug up my old envelope and did the install.

Decal and Template for Msport (F15 Performance) and Xline/Lux Line (F15 Standard).

Cut the Template and attach it to the skirt. Make sure the surface is clean and wiped with alcohol. Before applying the decal, make sure to apply pressure on the individual letters so that when you peel back the paper backing the letters don't peel off with it.

Applying the Decal. Make sure again to apply pressure on each letters against the skirt before peeling off the paper back.
