HUD not working

I have searched threads on here and all reported that after stopping the engine and starting again the HUD would work again except for me it is not working.

I have waited 1 day and started the car again but still not working. Does anyone know what could be the issue? It stopped working all of a sudden.

I used a more advanced OBD reader to read codes and the only issue I see is no communication with HUD. I see the option checked in iDrive so it is enabled.

Does anyone know how to diagnose it?

Try to play with the settings, sometimes it sets itself too high or too low and you simple can't see the picture, check fuses,I would scan with ISTA to be sure, I hope it is not a failed hardware because replacing HUD can get expensive fast.

Also put your car on a trickle charger overnight. When my HUD started acting wonky it turned out to be a semi-discharged battery.

I just found out the HUD is set too low. Even with highest height settings, I can barely see it.

Does anyone know how to fix the height? I didn't play with settings at all or touched the hardware itself. Not sure why it got too low

You use a different key to unlock car? Profile position could be different for that key.

When my HUD started acting weird like that (random height issues), I replaced the battery and it has been good ever since.
