Nice gift from BMW

Yesterday received in the mail a small box from BMW with a USB drive shaped like a miniature 'shark tooth' remote. Nice, unexpected surprise.

Took delivery of my wife's X5 in mid March. First BMW since mid 90's. We're very happy with her X5.

from the freebies I've gotten at BMW events...these USB drives hold like 50mb of data. No joke...

Over the past 10+ years of driving BMW's I've accumulated 4 useless USB flash drives, 1 concept art, 2 partial carbon fiber pen which was nice and one of the pens I use in my office (pic attached).

on a related note, I bought my M3 used from a very small BMW dealer back in 2010. I complained a few months after the purchase that I'm basically not on their freebies mailing list. So they sent me a M key pouch.

That's the only gift I got ever from BMW (other than the junk I collect at events I sign myself up to). I suppose that's what I get for being frugal and cheap?

Although a nice gesture, nothing to get excited about. Most of my gifts are in the trash.

and conversely, I'm still using my M key pouch. Surprisingly, held up really well for 7 years.
