BTW it looks like this way because I'm a pulse buyer when it comes to cars. A V8 of anything is a toy to me, and when the idea of getting a toy in my head appears, I have to have it satisfied, hence why it looks like I'm desperate at times.

The good news is, if I pass on this vehicle and wait for the next one, by the time the next one shows up, I've already waited it out and probably will keep driving what I have right now

No I didn't buy an X5 =(

I found a 2014 ML550 and switched. It was almost $8000 cheaper than the good X5 deal I had found, with quite a bit less miles on it, so I went with it. It drives like a boat, but is quick enough on straight lines so I'm happy with it being the only and a practical vehicle in my household.

With that said, definitely get ACC on your future X5. It is a god sent in a traffic-heavy big city!

As a 50i owner, I'm very glad that yours has been doing well. I'm taking mine to the dealer soon for a quirky issue, but other than that, it has been very nice.

I kind of agree with her as I just saw some receipts from a used car lot that had a 2014 with high mileage out of warranty and there were $6,000 in repairs, $2750 which were in parts and $3,250 in labor WTF!!! So this dealer was at a break even point on the vehicle. The breakage happened during a test drive, so you just never know. Warranty warranty warranty.
What in the world was fixed in that car? Damn

My sunroof went out in my E70 once. If they have to replace tricky parts such as the cassette, it can be as expensive as what you see above.

So the used car dealer ended up with a $6,000 bill. That could have been me if we had purchased the vehicle before everything went to hell. So it makes sense to buy a vehicle with a warranty.
This story itself is enough to purchase extended warranty

Not that it matters now but you can easily get out of a lease for orders. Buddy in my last squadron blew his engine 6 months before deployment so he leased a brand new truck with 0 down and dumped it the day before we pulled out. No issues. In fact told the dealer about deployment situation. They don't care. It gets the car off their lot and then they get it back and can sell it with extremely low mileage.
