Pirelli road hazard warranty on CPO?

Sorry guys I know the Pirelli's road hazard warranty for RFTs has been discussed before but I'm wondering if anyone has used this warranty on a CPO BMW? Purchased my CPO X5 in April and it came w/ brand new Pirelli P Zero tires as part of the certification. Caught a nail and now needing to get it replaced. I called my local dealer who seemed knowledgeable about the warranty program but said that I need to have actually purchased the tire in order to be covered. If this is true, I'd rather just grab 4 Conti DSW06's for $1k rather than one tire for $500. I'm going to need to replace the summer tires at the end of the season anyway.

So, has anyone gotten a replacement Pirelli for their CPO?

Our CPO came with Michelin run flats and we had to buy a separate tire/wheel policy for replacements, it was not included as part of the CPO offer.
