Buttholes as It shuts off as soon as you open the door. And costs you an arm and a leg. You're just gonna get their hopes up! Lol
Ummm. Yeah. Why would you want the car to continue running after the door is opened? Thief: “hey check out this car is running. Let me just smash the window and steal the car.” It’s SUPPOSED to shut off when the door opens so you don’t worry about your car being stolen at the mall when you remote start to warm it up 5 mins before you walk out to the parking lot in the middle of winter

Gas and diesel models, via the app, can only ventilate, lock/unlock, horn and lights.

What app do you have that remote starts and turns on actual HVAC for a 2014 model?? My 2017 does not do this!!
My bad, you are correct - it's ventilate instead of actual HVAC and no start option

most starters shut down when you press the brake, so ya, it's missing the crucial point of having a starter, which is to get in the car that is actually started....right?

back on topic, I showed my wife and she said alot of the same why wasn't this available as optional when a 25k minivan has the option...needless to say, she wants this installed.

How do you start it? Would you mean posting a screenshot of your app? I can only do lock, horn, unlock, lights and climate control (ventilation, not AC).
