Unused miles credit at lease end - question
I should have over 20% unused miles, and the bottom of lease end inspection/signature form states credit is $200. Is that applicable only if I lease another vehicle, or is it something they can deduct from disposition fee?

Had the quick call to BMWFS, who indicated the mileage review will be done in the 1st month. If there is any unused contractual mileage in the returned lease vehicle, BMWFS will credit me the agreed amount back in my next lease statement. Sorry, hyde, it was the quick call so I forgot to ask the scenario of not leasing another BMW vehicle. But I believe you should give BMWFS a call and they should answer you. |

This is interesting question to me as well.
My vehicle will be going back with a 3 month pull ahead. I have 5K miles left (about 10%) but am turning the car in early because of the pull ahead. Technically, I am about 1500 miles ahead of schedule. Would that qualify for a credit? I would think not, but my SA said it would.

When I turned my 328 lease in early to get the X5 40e, I received a $250 mileage credit on my first payment of the 40e.
I turned the 328 in a little over 4 months early. |

That's the tricky part. It's my 2nd lease only, so I never experienced this before. Who reads and remembers all the fine print if the CA doesn't remind you of this?
Anyway, the rep in BMW hotline says all the returned lease vehicle will be reviewed. The leasee doesn't have to call to ask for this. But I really don't know what happens to those who don't lease another BMW... maybe send you the check? Or this clause is only good for whoever leases another BMW? Just like car lease disposition fees can be waived when you lease another. |

BMW sent me a "END OF CONTRACT STATEMENT" and the unused miles credit was not applied.
I called and confirmed with BMWFS that this is not a cash back, but it's an "incentive credit" which is applied if you buy/lease another vehicle through BMW FS within 6 months of lease termination. This is in addition to $350 credit that goes toward disposition fee. So, there we have it, no credit, $350+ Tax due now..
