Hi @opasha if you can't decide I have a solution; back in the 1970's it was the fashion in the UK to have vinyl roofs. My dad had a Ford Cortina with a black roof and metallic bronze body, my mum had a Ford Capri with a light brown roof and metallic bronze body. How about you getting your car wrapped the same way; blue roof and silver body or vice versa?

Haha, reminds me of mini coopers and their custom roof/body colors. I prefer uniformity on my vehicles. Thanks for the idea, though . Hopefully I'll reach a decision by tomorrow. I still have a week to decide.

still prefer the silver! i think the blue really suits smaller and sportier cars. i really dont think it will look good on such a big bulky car such as our X5s. i would love the blue on something like an m3 or m4, but that silver is going to look so special and still elegant on your x5!

just my 2 cents!

Yeah, I'm feeling the silver - it's def more elegant. I think I'm going to go with blue brakes after looking at my three color options:

I love blue (favorite color) but the x5 lines work better with the light colors IMO So I'm still sticking with the silver !

I agree. After seeing the picture below of this 6 GC, I think silver is definitely the way to go as well.

Haha, good one, but my comment was in reference to his dual tone comment regarding his parents' vehicles .

I like the red brakes to match the taillights, carries it front to back.

Blue looks good too though. Almost a bit patriotic with the blue and red, silver kind of the white...

Haha, those are some great points. The funny thing is...the colors appeal more to you the LONGER you stare at them and don't compare them to each other. It's weird. Thanks for the feedback, Chris .

Just a thought ... since you might end up with the Alum Chrome Matt wrap & the blue brakes, why don't you get the mirrors wrapped in the Matt Blue - then you can have the best of both worlds hahaha.

You could photoshop the blue onto the wing mirrors & see if it's to your liking

Haha, thanks for the idea, but I'll pass. I'm really particular about how things match/flow. They may match the brakes, but they'd throw off the rest of the car .

Ok, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma. The wrap project starts this coming week and should be finished by next Friday if the materials come in time. @cy07 gave me a cool idea. The F16 M-Sport has this different color grey gloss rear around the exhaust pipes. He said to wrap mine the same way in Carbon Fiber gloss (only the rear not the sides the same way the F16 has it done). If I do that, I was thinking to match the front air flow grilles that are a matte plastic vanilla color currently to that same Carbon Fiber gloss. I'm not sure on what to do. Should I wrap the whole rear in Satin Wrap leaving the all the satin aluminum alone of course, or should I go for the F16 M-Sport rear look? Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated as I'm 50/50 on this. Thanks everyone!

My car rear currently (you can see how the back plastic distinguishes itself from the side plastic of the rear bumper):

F16 M-Sport rear:

My front lower grilles on each side:

Essentially the 3K gloss Carbon Fiber would look like this:

You should definitely keep some contrast back there.

Great idea!!

Satin Grey gets my vote.

I haven't received my car yet, will be next Friday. But I've been freaking out a bit about the color. Went for blue, as it looked so cool in the brochure. But I've learned it looks nothing like that in person. MUCH darker. Anyway, will see how we like it. If it's too boring, then I'll also go for a wrap!

Legally speaking, is there no need to change paper work?

That's a great point. Legally, it varies state by state. This is one of the perks of living in MD. They don't have vehicle color identification on your title so you can paint it or wrap it any color you want.
