Upper console removal

Trying to hardwire my V1 detector and Having a little bit of a trouble removing the upper console, I've done it on my F30, E46 and E83, but this one isn't coming off they easy.
Is there a trick or something I'm missing?

I was able to pass wires through the center console by simply removing the two carpet trims on either side of the center console. Didn't need to remove anything else and it was pretty straightforward from what I recall.

Thanks guys, I was able to finish my little Sunday afternoon project.
The overhead console is what I was talking about, it has two metal tabs that you need to press in order to detach it from headliner.
