I'm just glad they didn't do a redesign like a lot of people were saying.

They are doing a redesign... for 2018 for MY2019, when BMW normally does a LCI.

Anyone know what the changes are in Canada?

Curious to see whether the prices also went up.

No redesign (LCI). In 2018 there will be an all new model, G05

I know there is no LCI... and I know it will be a new gen X5.
I guess you mis-read what I wrote or I wasn't clear.

Atlas Cedar - Atlaszeder

Just got back from my BMW dealer (Belgium). He got this sample of the new colour 'Atlas Cedar' (Atlaszeder) and I'm totally buying it seems a bit darker than spacegray with a green/beige undertone...

took some quick pictures:

That is a very nice color indeed. I wish BMW released some Nardo grey colors for the X5 as well

I should have taken a picture of that sample outside (in daylight) right next to the spacegray X5 parked outside at the dealer.. that would have made a great side-to-side comparison... I guess that the sample as shown on the third picture shows the colour as it is (especially the right half of the sample because that part captures some daylight).

Anyway.. the dealer told me that the colour is going in production as of August (production of mine is scheduled for end of September and delivery end of October so I guess that's ok for me).

Jealous of standard anthracite headliner. Jealous of the changes to the Ivory White package. We would have bought it if it came with black carpets and now it does. I could care less about touch screen idrive, but I assume the 5.0 has nice functionality.

I am pleased Mineral Silver is discontinued, since that's the color of ours it becomes even more rare. The Atlas Cedar looks great too though.

Not so jealous of the $1600 base price increase on the diesel though!

Thanks for sharing. I've had no replies to my previous question regarding the MY2017 (see post #7 of this thread). Is Atlas Cedar what my question refers?

Individual colors is indeed at extra cost of 4 - 5k I guess...
Atlas Cedar is a new color - not an individual color - and is at no extra cost available as of production August (cfr my Belgian dealer)

Thanks for the reply. So, if I'm hearing you correctly, this is actually big news. Previously we weren't able to select any Individual options for the X5M (outside of those listed on the checkbox item list), as the manufacturing plant in the US wasn't equipped with the equipment/supplies for Individual. Can someone else confirm?

Anyone know if that will also translate to a lower cost of the M sport package? Since they've essentially lowered the xline price.. I'm assuming no, but it would be nice.

The price for the 2017 M Sport package is $900 less than the 2016 M Sport line. The new prices are as follows:

2017 X5 sDrive35i - $3,550
2017 X5 xDrive35i - $3,550
2017 X5 xDrive35d - $3,550
2017 X5 xDrive40e - $3,250

Delivery in September, changes come into effect start of August.
Hi Mark, I didn't realise your build was so far off. I've changed out to an M50D also. Built already as a 2016 and left the factory Agreed with dealer to await 1/9 although id rather sooner

Got a deal I was delighted with and kept options on the light side.

1 month to go, tick tock!
