Haha me too. I guess we won't find out until tomorrow. I did the software upgrade today and used my go pro charge cable. Worked great. Everyone make sure you update your software with the instructions they sent.
Dealer told me I will have my car in 3 weeks exactly.

Thanks for dropping off the RaceChip tune today greentrbo95gst. First off I was impressed with the quality of the RaceChip unit itself. The cables and material used are top notch. It took me less then 2 minutes to install the chip, just plug and play. Right now it is currently setup at default which is at the most conservative setting. I was able to do a couple run to 60mph tonight and noticed that it pull a little harder. I will play around with the setting tomorrow and give an update. You can adjust how much power you want by dialing the setting in the module itself. I will post some install pictures tomorrow.

Ordered mine on Tuesday, looking forward to installing and getting numbers. We should feel something especially going from 255hp to 331hp right? Torque was a pretty decent jump also. I'll keep you guys posted...... Thanks to greentrbo95 for the find!

Hey guys need some help. Had no problems installing one of these on my E70 however on my 2014 F15 diesel I can't find the plugs. The picture that someone posted previously does not match up with my engine layout. Help....

I'll be interested to hear how everyone likes the chip. How does it handle the switch to SPORT mode? Does anyone know the logic they use to bump the power - fuel timing, boost, fuel pressure, etc??

I am so jealous. My pcd delivery is June 5th and for now I'm playing with the tuner box and starring at it.

I have a feeling everyone is going to say, "I definitely feel a difference". But what does that mean? Throttle response? Better from a dead stop? Rolling acceleration? Fuel economy?
Is there a warranty on the tuner (like Dinan provides)? Thx

Lifetime warranty on the tune.
It's a fairly simple receipe, adding boost and allowing ecu to compensate with more fuel and timing. When cruising its slightly leaner to where it allows you to get up to 5 mpg more. Remember that 40d and 50d use the same exact motor but with more boost from additional turbos. Stock monitor will only show what it's trained to do based on vacuum so it will not show you true gains. Your butt dyno should tell you a lot more or other devices like plx. Last edited by greentrbo95gst; 05-24-2014 at 10:34 PM.. |

What does lifetime warranty mean? If it smokes the motor, do they fix it? Or is there a lifetime warranty on the chip? Big difference. I used to build and tune turbo gas motors, and butt dyno's lie. I could add a bit more ignition timing which would add a little more low-end torque, but the owner would say its a different motor. Then I would show the tuning tables - nothing was really done. Anyway, it would be interesting if one of you would take your F15 to a dyno and do a before and after. There are a lot of so-called tuners out there and I am obviously very skeptical of installing a chip into a +$60k vehicle that I own.

Stock ecus have enough protection to stop anything that reaches its limit. As you can tell no companies are building stand alone ecus for our cars and we all get what we can. Research racechips and you will see that they know the knowledge and r&d behind them. It's made in Germany and passes their strict Tuv licensing.

I have been messing around with the setting and it seem like E/2 is the best setting so far. There is a difference in power especially low end. The sport display will not go over a certain HP or TQ. Seem like it maxed out at 260 hp and 430 tq no matter what setting I changed on the tune. But I was able to use my PLX Kiwi device and Dash Command app on my iPhone. This is what the Dash Command app read. I don't know how accurate this app is, but all data including wheels, tires, curb weight, passenger weight, and fuel capacity has been inputed. The result seem pretty crazy.

Ive had mine on since last Thursday. I updated the chip to the latest tune before the install, and performed the install in less than 5 minutes, which is AWESOME.
I haven't "turned up" the tune at all, its still on the E/O setting, but I can definitely tell a difference on the low end, it pulls from a light HARD. I may try and turn it up a bit before this weekend, as I have a long highway drive ahead of me and wouldn't mind a bit more passing power. Ill keep you guys posted.

Has anyone had any trouble running E/2 at all? I remember with the JB tune on my 335, turning it up for any length of time required supporting mods or it would result in limp modes.

S2 setting makes much smaller increments than S1. Look at the screen shot of BCLK55 couple pages back. He is still in E/2 and did 350 hp and M5 worthy TQ numbers.
