When you get errors, Sometimes you need to shut the car off and wait a few then try again. Resets the computers.
But I'd also get ista and see if the wiring is different between us and euro

I'm just saying that if you had a bunch of errors from the new lights, you can't just throw the old lights in and expect the errors to be gone right away. Lock the car to put it to sleep, then open it after 10 minutes or so, then see if the errors are still there.
If they are, then plug in ista. Car has to be on, and ista only works with windows. I think you can do a windows vpn on mac. But you'll need a way to plug in the cable to a mac.

Seems to be the same as euro. Are you sure it’s US version of headlight ?

I need to compare and adapt US to UK lights.
UK xenon lights have less fewtures. Using both diagram I might be able to adapt the US plug to UK lights.

Thank you very much

Updated with US headlight plug showing no purple and silver on #8 (red and off-white top row 3rd from right)

Is that the pinout of the non adaptive lights? Trying to understand cause the light plug has positions 1-8 available and 9-12 not available.

I only saw that is for adaptive.
You can use the wiring diagrams and check the wires from BDC and check the pin assignment backward from BDC to headlight.

Did you ever figure this out? I am in a similar situation. I just picked up the X5 and it has non adaptive xenon headlights in it. When I look at the connector the brown wire (I believe pin 7) was unplugged. I plug them back in and was able to get the halos to work but no high beams still. I also noticed when I exit the car and it enters sleep mode the halos turn themselves on and they stay on!

I partially figured out this issue.
Moved a pin on the BDC. But then only the driver side light was fully operative.
Despite all the wiring schema etc… I couldn’t get the passenger side to work properly.
So I ran a wire from the driver side light to the passenger side light.
This allowed me to pass the examination of the car for the homologation.

Side effect, the car throughs an error when I break stating malfunction.
We tried to code many settings including changing the country etc… no luck.

What an i going to do next?
Since the car is fully approved now; I will revert to my US light and get ride of all the mess.

I am not sure why the reverse camera stopped working. On ISTA it simply shows offline.

Hope this helps TFran3c
