Anyone gotten the MyBMW app to interface with the F15?

I loved getting an accurate fuel level with the Connected Drive app and my F15. All I had to do was connect my phone to my car via the center console USB port and open the CD app, and it would update the fuel level within a few seconds. I have not yet gotten the MyBMW app to act in the same manner, anyone know if this is even possible or if there are additional steps required?

Mine connects perfectly. I love how I can unlock and lock the car remotely. Or turn on the fan in this summer heat. It requires a log in before and once vin is setup, it automatically updates status

I have 2 X5s. the G05 and the F15. Both show up on the MyBMW app. I have been able to successfully send directions to the F15 using the MyBMW app. But since the app was made available, it never shows the range of the vehicle whenever I connect it. There's also no way to log in or out of my CD account in the F15 itself. I'm wondering if the app is confused because we have 2 vehicles? I wouldnt think so because the CD app worked perfectly.

So today I got a notification that a new version of the MyBMW app was available: version 1.5.0 which the release notes say "DIsplay of vehicle status (km stand, fuel level, range) for older vehicle generations via Bluetooth/USB.

I naturally got excited and plugged it into my F15 and still nothing. No fuel status updates. Are the rest of you running 1.5.0?

I run 1.5.0 and same as above - no range or fuel level. It even stopped the location sharing from google maps at some point, but seems to have started again. Maybe we need to give it some time for network sync etc.

What are you trying to get it to do? Doesn't do as much as my F90 but still shows up. Lock and unlock. Fan. Send directions etc.

I am trying to get this fuel level to show up, it used to work just fine in the CD app but I cant get it to show up on this app:

Like you i have still got my old F15 which I use whilst the G05 is used by the wife.
Judging by the pics it looks like the F15 is not updating
Not sure what phone you are using but Connected Drive App still works for Android phones (BMW have kept it active for those who still have valid digital key contracts here in Australia)
I would suggest if you have an Android phone try log on your old F15 to CD and see if it updates the fuel level At least you will know if it is an App problem or a car problem

I had the CD app originally and seem to remember entering my CD account and password into the iDrive. Did the same on the app along with the VIN and its worked.

Then earlier this year the CD app prompted me to download the new my BMW app (or it might of been an email) and it just worked. No USB ever used.

What year is your F15? mine is an Aug 16 build and has updated com box from my old F25 X3 built in April 2016 the only way I could get the fuel level odometer update on the X3 in the CD App was via USB or Bluetooth never remotely

Not sure what the build date is for mine. I just got it off the dealer lot in December of 2016

Should be a BMW decal or sticker with the build date on the "B" pillar on the driver's side.

The com box in my F15 supports 4G and in addition to remote fuel odometer updates it is able to identify which window or door is left open. I was not able to do this on the X3 even though though they were similarly specked. I think the upgraded com box was introduced for the F15/6 in Aug 2016 (MY17) along with an upgraded head unit iDrive 5 and touch screen I tried last night using an iPhone to get my BMW App to link to the car via USB and had no response either only way was OTA

maybe only the F15 models that support 4G are compatible with this app. mine is a 2016 which was the last to support 3G.

All remote functions (like location, lock, unlock, and etc,) have stopped working for my 2015 X5 (which has 3G) since My BMW app replaced BMW Connected Drive app, while they work for my (wife's) 2018 X2. Are we seeing the trend BMW doesn't care little old Bimmers?

Sign out, delete the app, install again, sign in, connect to the car via usb. I believe that did the trick in my case.
