Getting my M50d on Saturday!!

Hi All

I've been running an M6 GC for a few months but to be honest it was way to brutal and I was running the risk of losing my licence. So I test drive an M50d X5 and loved it!! Fast and lots of torque with excellent body control.

So I've gone for a carbon black car with black leather and 20" wheels. Went a bit mental with the extra's though highlights if which are led lights, pan roof, 7 seats, lots of cameras, soft close doors , rear entertainment, internet, comfort seats, climate pack etc.

Very excited as I've had 3 X5's previously but this is very special. Thanks again an pics to follow probably Sunday!!

It's got 469's on it, going to keep them as winter wheels and slam some 21" hamman wheels on it eventually. However really don't want to look like a drug dealer

469's...same as my order.

Out of interest, did your dealer say these are AS RF or Performance tyres?

Damn, the dealer didn't know this then as I emailed him to fit them prior to delivery. Thanks for the heads up

That's really spooky - I've just done pretty much the same thing although my cars are a slightly lower spec than yours.
I picked up a new 650i GC in October last year. Although I don't have quite the same number of horses as the M6, I reckon 450Hp was enough to seriously frighten my license. In this wet weather, it is pretty tough to stop the traction control from trying to spoil the fun.

I went for an X5 30d in the end to try to improve my gas mileage and insurance costs as my bank account has some serious healing to do. I'm expecting delivery in April so I still have some time to enjoy the 650i before it goes.
I too went a bit daft with the options. It won't be the beastie that you are getting but I'm really looking forward to it (and all the tech of course)

Hope you have a great day picking up the car on Saturday

I was also bummed, but this was early days so hope something has changed. iIam hoping for the X5M to be introduced before my car is delivered, as the test mules have black kidneys with adaptive ac. So there is hope that they will fit...

I also have M50d on order, manufacture month 4/2014.

Please inform us if you get other info on the Msport kidneys.

Why can't the black kidneys be fitted to cars with adaptive? I thought the adaptive sensor is lower in the bumper. Do you mean night vision? That sensor is in the kidneys and I could see that interfering with a retrofit.
