Got hit by a massive charter bus on Friday, car it totaled after fine tuning her the last 12 month. Bus driver ran a red light. F me. Waiting to see what they are going to give me and need a replacement, thinking about mixing it up but nothing is all that exciting. Any ideas?[IMG][/IMG]

Maybe get an X5M? Or if not BMW, maybe a JGC Trackhawk.

Sorry about the vehicle, the Mercedes was jealous of your nice ride..
I'd say get another F15 X5 or (F85), they are still great vehicles!

Is the car spin? Seems like got hit on front driver corner then passenger side.

Yeah, the bus knocked me into the car that was trying to turn left, I was going straight.

That was my initial thought, get another F15 but feel like I want to go a new route. I love wagons, which is why I liked the F15, looks a little wagony. I'm actually looking at the Volvo V90 T6 R Design with Polestar. Hard to think about going from twin turbo V8 to a turbo and supercharged V4.

Ha, probably was jealous as my F15 was dialed in. She held up amazingly, definitely feel safe driving around in these, super impressed.

My first idea is to pull the wheels and any other mods that are salvageable off the car and put it back to stock. Then go out and buy another F15.

I absolutely love the V90. Probably one of my favorite current Volvo models.

Do you know what rights/access I have to the car once they deem it totaled and send to salvage yard? Can I pull stuff off the car.

Agree, wish the engine was not a 4 banger, my biggest hang up.

I drove an XC60 for a few days recently, and if I recall, it has the same engine as the S90. It most certainly wasn’t lacking power. More than adequate for the daily grind.

Once you are paid, you can't from what I understand.
Better call the insurance adjuster, and ask if you can remove aftermarket parts before too late.
Any original parts, you won't be allowed to remove.
If they are reimbursing you for any aftermarket parts, they might be off limit too.

When my x5 was totaled they let me
Remove all my stuff as long as I replaced it with the stock stuff. Got almost 6k dollars back from everything I took off so it was so worth it!

Then they came and hauled it off.

Once they take it it's not your car anymore and it will be hell to get your stuff off if you have already surrendered it.

But everyone's story is different.
