Are you kidding? You shouldnt be getting more than 11-12mpg's while towing.
This is amazing. Is that with the tune as well?
Nope, I haven't put the chip on yet. That's stock.

They are EGR related. Standard issue, tune or no tune.

Did you have your tow hitch "dealer installed" or is there a good aftermarket alternative?

I did the factory one and really like it a lot better than the one I had in my 2011 X5. No cutting the bumper on the new ones. If you search hitch on the forums, you can find an aftermarket one that some people have purchased. I think it's called invisihitch. One difference I noticed between the invisihitch photos and the oem one is that the one I have brings the receiver up higher. I like that so my trailer is more level.

Here's a shot a friend took on our way back from a recent atv trip.

Thanks for the info, SpeedN8. I'll likely pull the trigger and just have the dealer install one also. I do plan on towing various things with the X5.

My CEL was for the DEF fluid level and is a known software bug. It took 4 hours to upload the new software and check to ensure the bug was fixed. My car was at the dealer overnight.

How many miles do you have and do you have the tune?

Lol, maybe that description was a little too much, but it definitely felt sluggish.
I am in E/2 setting by the way so got used to that power and tq.

I'm good with the power and torque at lower speeds. I miss the jump my '11 x5 V8 had when passing in the 75mph range. Does it help at those speeds? I miss seeing left lane people who speed up when you pass them frown as I rocket away.

That is one of the main differences.
I have a f10 m5 with 637 whp and cant compare it to that, but just before the x5d we had a 335d (e90) with the chip and 60-90mph was just brutal.
The F15 diesel lacks a lot of it, but after the chip I can say that I am fully satisfied and I want nothing more from the car.
My first drive in the car when stock I punched it to get on the freeway from 55-85 and my first thought was that the car did not upshift enough and something is wrong. Unfortunately, no, everything was right and that is how the truck comes.
The tune just awakens the beast.

any more feedback from folks who have the tune installed? i'm ordering my x5 this week & am now leaning toward the diesel after feedback received in another thread. a bump in hp & tq in this engine would push me over top. those of you who've been running it for a while, what's your opinion?

Still the deal still on?

I am getting my 2015 X5 35d in a few month, but I can't seem to find it on the list yet. Is it not available for this model or I am missing something here.

https://www.racechip-usa.com/chiptuning/BMW/X5/

Thanks in advance.

That's for the 30d. Is that the same for 35d? Sorry I'm fairly new to BMW.

Thanks

Like I said in earlier posts, when you have the chip installed the X5 wakes up and gives you that boast you thought you were getting. When I took it in for service, I took out the unit and drove it to the dealership and it felt less powerful, got it back reinstalled the unit and it woke back up again. I feel it was definitely worth the extra $$ and I would recommend it 110%!
