How much "texture" do you note in BSM? I've seen earth tones and hints of violet flake in the paint when it's clean. Interesting color and seems to hide scratches better than Jet Black but appears more pure black than Carbon.
Does yours show dirt and dust quickly after it's washed? |

It does hide scratches quite a bit. The previous owner only took it trough the carwash and even though I still need to polish the paint, it's extremely acceptable. I think Jet Black is the blackest, followed by BSM and then finally CBM. |

I had BSM on my X5M. It hid scratches very well and was a deep black with various shades of metallic flake. The ones I noticed the most were blue, silver and grey. Huge PITA to cover up minor stone chips, I wound up having the entire front bumper repainted.

Had no clue BSM hid scratches well. I love dark colored cars, but I don't like swirl marks. That's why I have Mineral White, but it shows chips very well.

BSM hides imperfections really well, thanks to the rather "busy" variety of colours in the metallic flake. I really have to look at the paint at the right angle in the right light to spot swirls. That is, until I have time to polish the whole thing out. Which I'm hoping to do very shortly. I'll do a short write up on it.

Jet Black is still the boss of all black paint, but you need the time to maintain it. I had that in my younger days, but unfortunately don't anymore. That is why I chose for BSM.

Same here... I love black cars but I hate them at the same time. I originally wanted the F15 in Carbon Black but I wound up in Space Grey because it was already built and at a price I could not refuse. (Sumatra Black is another beautiful color but only found on RR products. It is similar to CB. A lot of depth to it and it's three colors in one depending on how the light hits it.)

These photos from Rehab Detailing show the depth of the BSM color. Very intriguing.

Jealous. I would love a 5series Touring here... sadly US/NAR always gets stiffed on the "cool" products.
