Delay in full power from a dead stop
Hi All
making sure this is normal as this has been bugging me since day one of ownership. Starting in 1st and from standstill, when I do a full throttle take off the SAV leaves the line but takes a second to hits full power. It leaves the line softly and then it feels like a down shift where you get into your power band. The funny part is when I do a quick part throttle launch from a standstill, it leaps off the line. Launch control works great Thanks and hopefully I am explaining this correctly |

Did you turn off DSC so that it doesn't cut RPM to help prevent wheel spin? Or does the X5M even have DSC?

Turbo lag, that is why there is launch control that allows you to spool engine up to 2500 rpm them launch. Very normal in turbo charged cars, not so much in supercharged cars as super charger is belt ( or very seldom gear) driven and response is much quicker although parasitic loses at higher rpm’s are higher.
