My dealer called me today to let me know that mine is completed the day after tomorrow

The wait for the ship to arrive is the hardest part. What's the estimated transit time, 2-3 weeks?

Yes, production was supposed to begin Week 11. It's being painted today and should be completed tomorrow or the next day. It might be at the dealer in two weeks.

I ordered my Winter wheels/tires today from BMW. Hopefully I won't need them for this Winter.

Excellent! I need to follow up with my CA and figure out where mine is. I'm assuming if yours got pulled ahead mine will be, too. I'm getting tired of driving my rental Sonata.

Just checked - mine is still in 112 - but not due until week 12. wdimagineer - are your insider contacts predicting any form of VPC hold? I remember reading somewhere that these don't launch in the US until March 28th?

I haven't heard anything of that sort, but I will double check with them. I know most of the HEA/launch cars are still held up at VPC. Some have been sitting there for 3 months now.

Thats correct. The black HEA car that i had is still in the VPC. Will not be released until middle/end of March. I just ordered a Long Beach Blue that should be here 2nd week of April.

That HEA car was built in late December. It's been sitting idle ever since.

I'm also week 12. I confirmed with bmwusa and my sales manager with that info. According to them our X5M's should be ready for week 12 with delivery to me first week of April.

My CA has been out. No updates. But any day now I imagine.

I lost my first allocation which would've been in build or completed by now. NA pulled it from my store.

This is a second allocation. A bit behind. But the wait should be worth it.

For some reason, my X5M is in assembly right now, it hasn't been completed yet, like Customer Relations told me. Shouldn't be to much longer, maybe two weeks.

So, my car should have shipped two weeks ago. I found out today that there is a QC problem with my car, and the factory doesn't know when it will be resolved. Since BMW doesn't know when the car will ship, my Client Advisor ordered me a brand new car (same specs) with a mid-April delivery.

My original build has been in the same status (vehicle production complete, waiting to be released to carrier) since March 3. There's some quality issue that is preventing it from being shipped.

Got my new production order number for the new build, but production isn't expected to begin until May!

It probably has to go to the VPC first, probably the one in North Jersey. It shouldn't take more than a couple days to get to Pittsburgh, just a guess though. Mine took about 2-3 days to get from Spartanburg to my dealer in NJ.
