M performance power kit for diesel engine

http://www.bmw.at/de/topics/services...ryId=9684.html

I did not know this was available, m performance power kit for a diesel engine. It used to be available (and still is) only for 35i, now applicable to 30d (and I assume 35d in US).

Lets hope, because the lack of performance enhancers for the diesels is somewhat disheartening...

At least at the moment.

I'm hoping BMW will release a PPK for M50d before end of summer which can give the same as top-3 BMW tuner brands (see below). If not - I'm going with Hartge as planned.

And to all who think that 2.6k EUR is a lot for a piggy-back solution: I said this before and say this again - when it comes to such a crucial part of your car as the engine, it's not just about pure performance; it's also about reliability, safety and warranty. I know for a fact that you can't go wrong with the above when it comes to companies like Hartge, AC Schnitzer and Hamann. And yes, I definitely choose a German company with 30+ years of reputation for a German car any time over a new kid on the block, even if I have to pay a bit of extra for the "name". Because again, and especially when it comes to performance cars and motorsport, names are made not within 5-10 years, it actually takes decades of constant hard work to get there.

P.S. Gotta envy the 5.0i owners though... you can already go from 450 hp up to 382 kW (520 hp) / 6000 rpm 740 Nm (lb-ft 546) / 2800 rpm. I'm guessing the X5M should deliver at least 560 hp for them to be able to sell it as a proper M

Do the owners of BMW F10 & F11, E70 & E71, F01 and F15 know? )))) Or, for that matter, because N57D30S1 is more or less the same engine (just 3 turbos and some extra tweaks) as the N57D30, do the owners of half of BMW range know? ) No offense, but your friend seems to be telling stories... Or they just have clients who launch control for hours and complain about stuff afterwards

Think it is related to electronic or something similar, as Armen mentioned it is indeed same egine for all 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 diesels.
So hardware(metal) is the same for all engines and basically it has no difference which one you buy

It may be a problem with the quality of your diesel.
Only problems reported here by any M50d have been where owners filled up with the lower quality diesel even after BMW warned them not to.

In countries with only the top euro spec diesel they dont have problems.
