UK Car Magazine reviews X5 30d (finally)
http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/...14-CAR-review/
They dish out on the looks way too much, but maybe rightly so in comparison to RRS, not sure whether M sport was tested (I suppose not), but raving review of M50d did not reappear again. 4 star overall rating. I did not add photos as they are generic (seen before). "Verdict The BMW X5 is no looker, but it’s certainly a more complete car than its predecessor – it’s still a sharp drive, but couples more maturity and refinement with a much more premium-feeling cabin. While there’s a smaller load area than its rivals, there’s more power, better economy and more space than its predecessor, which means that our first impression of the X5 xDrive30d is that it’s even more practical, drivable and desirable." |

I wonder how different is the 30d (in EU) vs. 35d (in NorAm)...

Well, that is all official figures, but still it will be impressive fuel consumption for that weight and size while torque is still pretty good. Test driving the car I can say one thing for sure, the car is really quiet and little wind noise. My former X6 (I traded it in today, miss it a bit) which I thought was a quiet car is a lot louder (handles better though ).

The BMW X5 is no looker?
Well, what you can see depends on what you are looking for. I have been pushing my wife to say yes she likes the new RRS but as much as I had pushed the less she likes it. |

Not for the first time - I saw an x3 on the street again tonight and initially thought it might be my first sighting of the new x5 on the street here in London (and thought again how sad/stupid that they've done this to the x5). I thought I would have seen the first ones in Nov but still nothing yet. Loads of x5's here so would have expected a few upgrades on the street by now. Are sales slow or something ?
