X6 50i Delivered!!!!

Just picked up my new X6 50i yesterday. Absolutely love it.

I've just stepped out of an e92 m3, and I must say for such a big car, it handles exceptionally well, SOOOO much power, and SOOO much more intelligent!

Going to get some time to get used to all the features, i havent even figured out how to use the damn auto park! Overall very happy though, oh and that V8 sound, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Racechip will be ordered soon!

saphhire black
black dakota leather

Lol that you dont want to know!

In australia, our government really loves to screw us with taxes. On top of normal GST and Stamp duty, we also have to pay luxury car tax. Add to that, for some reason manufacturers always overprice their cars here - this fair lady cost me ~$160k drive away.

Is that a Cadillac in the background? If so, it doesn't deserve to be parked next to the BMW haha

IMO, ppl in US are lucky to pay less to get most of cars. Although US doesn't always gets the lowest price, our price is usually lesser than other countries'.

(One friend in Asia said he got to pay almost 200K for X6 which is around 93K before tax in US.)

Btw, nice ride and great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!

Actually i was in the states last year, hired a mustang drove from LA to vegas. To be completely honest I hated driving LHD! Its most definitely because im not used to it, but i just felt really uncomfortable, feels like i had less control over the car. I love RHD! but then again i've grown up with RHD!

Congratulations, and this is the way to start a "just delivered" thread: with PICCIES!! Well done, mate! AUD$160K is a LOT of money to pay, and just to make you feel a little bit better, the same X6 50i would have set you back S$488,800 in Singapore - which, at current rates, would translate to AUD$465,500 or €321,500 or USD$362,000 ... read 'em and weep.

You gotta feel sorry for us poor sods sometimes.

WHAT!!! thats crazy expensive! i guess the good thing in Singapore is the income tax rate though - its less than half what we pay here in Aus! I'd love a 20% tax rate instead of 47.5%!

I guess it all balances out in the end!

Mannimans , Yea, I was born in Indonesia and drove RHD for a few years before I moved here. But I fly home alot, and I can't live if I don't drive my own car.
At first, I always felt awkward the first few days of driving RHD. But, now I get used to it, I can just start driving once arrived. The trick is, I have to keep my right hand on the steering wheel, otherwise I kept on hitting the wiper stalk when I need to make a turn.

LHD or RHD on either LHD or RHD roads is pretty easy once you have done it a few times. Even a manual and clutch is easy. Only overtaking do you need extra care with RHD in LHD roads and vice versa.
