Music keeps playing but sound cuts out

2017 F15 sDrive35i with the relevant options listed at the end of the post.

Sound will randomly cut out while playing. Doesn't matter if it's SiriusXM, a CD, stored music, or the radio. It will just as randomly cut back on. The music keeps playing, iDrive keeps working, but I'll have zero sound for a random amount of time. The parking sensors didn't make a tone when the music sound cuts out even though it showed close proximity on the screen.

It kind of seems like a loose connection to me, but there are two "issues" the X5 has. The passenger front sunroof drain leaks during HEAVY rains. This will give me a restraint warning afterwards, but I keep big desiccant packs in the door bins which dries it out within a day and the warning goes back out. The sound doesn't work any different when this happens, so I'm not sure if it's related. The other issue stems from a pretty mild rear end collision, but besides the bumper cover and tailgate having cosmetic damage the only issue seems to be that the two inner park sensors got pushed behind the bumper cover, so whenever I'm in reverse they tone and the screen shows the proximity accordingly.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The amplifier is in the rear left i believe. Behind side panel. Maybe just remove and reset connectors?
