X6 4.0 or X6 M50D?

My current car is a BMW X6 40D
I love my car. I even think that my X6 is more beautiful than the 2015 X6. Its amazyling fast. Specially in "Sport Mode". The interior of the new X6 is nice but its nothing out this world. In terms of interior renovation BMW lacks behind a lot compared to other premium brands. My question is: do you guys think
I will notice a big difference in speed from a X6 40D compared to the X6 M50D?

P.S: The reason I´m selling my car its because my leasing contract will end in September. I paid 100,000€(4 years leasing) for my X6 and Im selling it for 45,000€. The price of the new X6 M50D is 120,000€. With a discount of 15,000€ + 45,000€ from my old X6. So, subtracting 15,000€ + 45,000€ = 60,000€ from 120,000€ = 60,000€ and thats the amount I will have to pay for the new X6 M50D. Do you guys think its worth it? :-/ Besides all that my wife is trying to convince me to buy a GLE 500E hybrid which actually I like and has lots of government fiscal benefits. Please let me know what you guys think! THANK YOU!!!

Uhmmm maybe. The thing is the new X6 its just like a small restyling from the old X6. Actually the rear of the new X6 is too similar to the bmw 5 GT.

Like I said, if you don't like the new x6 now chances are you will be disappointed after buying it. Go for the Benz and good luck

I went from X5 E70 30d to F16 X6 M50d. Interior is much better. Steering is lighter - fine up to about 220kph then perhaps too light as you press on. Performance is far better. Fuel consumption is the same as the less powerful X5. Mine looks great in black with red leather (look up my previous posts if you want to see). I went from MB E class to BMW. MB may still have that old fashioned handbrake with the foot operation and now an electronic release. Also auto hold was by pressing firm on the brake peddle. This is way inferior to BMW auto hold and would now drive me crazy and stop me buying the car if it is the case. Range rovers also do not have any auto hold, you have to keep your foot on the brake when stopped.

Stylistically speaking, I never liked the X6 until the F16 model.

I have similar problem - I love the look of the old X6 but just felt too heavy at the back - so I bought a F10 instead - the new x6 drives like my F10 but looks weird at the back above the wheels and the back lights are too long.
I'm now seriously considering the RRS2 dynamic ! Black stealth pack with red leather seats

Well, tomorrow Im going to test drive a X6 M50D. Let´s see how I feel compared to my currently X6 4.0. I think it a good deal cause its a BMW X6 M50D "service car" for customers to drive and experiment it. Full of extras etc. The price is really good but has 14,000kms already. I got an offer from Mercedes for the GLE 500e hybrid. 90,000€ full o extras AMG kit. Mercedes accepted my X6 40 in exchange for 45,000€. Thats why Im so in doubt what to do. If I get this X6 m50D its going to be my third X6. I had a space grey X6 35D, a black X6 40D and now this Mineral white X6 M50D. The price of this X6 M50D is 157,000€!!! THE BMW dealer didnt tell me yet the discount they will make me but how much can they deduct from 157,000€ of a test drive car with 14,000kms?

I agree. the front design of the previous X6 is not so flattering, interior is also pretty standard for a design car.

seems like you drive your cars for the whole lease period. If I were you, I'd stay away from both 50d and 50i. Either 35i/40d or X6M. 50d/50i have loads of engine troubles, especially the 50i. Just search this forum.

Plus you can chiptune the 40d to become at least 360-370bhp, which is almost the same as 50d, but much cheaper, easier to sell after and less problems during.
