X5 35i dash cam installation help!

Try to put a dash cam in the car, and hardwire in the fuse box on the passenger side, so it can be parking mode. But don't know which fuse wire on, any recommend fuse to use?

I'm off to have a read now as I had the Thinkware in my F30 and need to plan for reinstall in the F15 in a few weeks.

Thx! I'll be doing the same, moving my Thinkware F750 from the F30 to the 40e.

Have you seen the new 770 model? Nice and slim, uses the same rear camera. Tempted to treat myself to one...

Simple! The fuse you should always use for hardwiring dashcams is the hazard light fuse in order for your dashcam to work while parked.

First of all, thanks to r33_RGSport for the DIY. Threading the wire for the rear view camera was a PITA.

But I got it all wired up now. Problem is that the DIY's that I'm finding online all connect to the full size ATO fuses, but per blackboxmycar, I was provided with a mini-fuse fuse tap (their Add-A-Tap wire). I tried using the 150 fuse as it was trunk related, but it appears that's a constant power fuse, not an ACC fuse.

Does anyone know which mini-fuse would work that is ACC (only on while ignition is on, but turns off when car is off)?

Thanks!

Just did mine several months back. I'll check my rear fuse panel setup when I get home in 4 hours.

UPDATE:

I tapped into fuse slot 143 using a mini fuse tap. Good luck.
