Where is launch control?
2014 X5 with M sport
Is launch control another code feature we have to turn on? Was showing the car to a friend and couldn't find how to use it I'm getting my wireless ODBII adapter and BimmerCode app this weekend.. can't wait

I never knew it had a launch control. Is this true?

It's in the manual, page 80. (Imagine that). It will not enable if it isn't warmed up. You have to drive for 6 miles before it is enabled. As said:
- Sport+ - Shift lever to the left - Fully apply brake - Fully apply throttle. You must push it all the way to the floor, including "past the kick down indent" - You will get a checkered flag, indicating launch control is in effect. - Release the brake (within 3 seconds) and keep the throttle pinned to the floor. If you don't release the brake within 3 seconds, the flag goes out. This is only a feature on the "Sport automatic transmission" I think. I don't remember what options you had to have to get this when I bought it, but if I'm not mistaken, not all X5's have the ability to do launch control. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The post above are correct. Make sure your X5 is warmed up and you have the Sport Auto transmission which is part of the M-Sport package. But I don't think it's exclusive to M-Sport.
Go to Sport+ mode, shift lever to the left, left foot brake, right foot floored, Checkered flag shows, jump off brakes and keep it floored!! Hang on for the ride!! Give your passengers a little warning to prepare themselves also. Theirs bodies will get shoved back in the seat and their heads will snap back! Your head may bump off the back of your headrest on each up shift also!
