A-Pillar leak?

Hello Folks,

We had some heavy rain last night and the car was parked in the driveway, pretty flat driveway.

This morning I found water coming from the top of the A-pillar on the passenger side and from underneath the visor.

I checked the panorama roof seal for any damages or blockage to the drain but couldn't see any.

Any one had that before? thoughts?

I had a similar experience and it turned out to be kinked panoramic roof drain tubes,I was told its a known issue, the tubes are prone to kinking being too thin walled, they replaced the drain tubes with more robust versions, washed the carpet and dehumidified the car interior under warranty. No issues since.

Definitely check your drain tubes, they can become plugged and the water from the rain tray has nowhere to go. If you're under warranty, perhaps have your dealer check it out. Water problems can be a huge pain, especially if not dealt with quickly.

Thank you guys for the feedback.
Unfortunately I'm out of warranty. And although I have an extended warranty, this is not covered under it. I will have it checked ASAP.

I was driving in the rain today and everything seemed fine with no leaks. I'm just not sure what the deal is!

bmw uses the worst rubber and plastics on their vehicles it seems.
i've had to change the sunroof seals before on my few year old 5 series becuase the seal dries out and loses its shape, then lets water by. i assume the x5 is the same deal.
