I would suggest changing out your air filters...the BMC flow much better allowing more boost...from my logging I "think" I picked up a pound from that alone

I hear BMC filters have a lot of oil that could ultimately cause issues. I was thinking about Dinan but too expensive of a mod unless you were seeking the look as well which I am not.
0-60 in 3.5 sec Now the goal is to go down to 2.9 seconds. ANY HELP YOU C AN OFFER PLEASE ??

Best advice I can give you is to enjoy 3.5 or buy a second car. My X5M is 0-60 in 3.6 and that's my "max safe limit". The engine will certainly produce more power, but driveline breakage can occur. I have another car that goes 3.1 and an extreme ride that does 0-60 in 1.8 seconds. But I enjoy the X5M every day.

If you want to push the limits and live with the parts breakage/upgrades, I would have it custom tuned on a Dyno with a meth injection kit installed. Take the RC off and have a competent tuner drill the ECM and program it directly. Good luck.

Hi guys.

I just got my order of BMC filters. Now reading your post I am worried. I don't want to put something in my car that can cause problems.

Agree.
There are a lot of other mods can be done to get it faster and faster, just they won't be a simple bolt-on and may reduce the integrity and reliability of the car.

Just slapped on Dinan Air filters and the car is breathing properly now and I am loving it. You can feel the difference (combined with all my mods)

Note that I drive my car around 30 miles daily as a max except if I had to go out couple of times then that number could be doubled.

I do not launch my car regularly. possibly 1-2 times a month and sometimes never.

I do not keep it on high RPM, I usually sprint to avoid psychos and drive in the right lane.

I just serviced my ///M and service checkup was 100% ok (of course No Dinan or RC were on it at the time of service)
