They did that for Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Funny...first I got my Interlagos Blue E92 M3, then you got one. Then I got my Donington Grey X5M...and then you did too! Looks like we have the same taste in cars and colors!!

We are probably the two most interesting people on the Earth!

E92 M3 interior was nice, professional like, but felt upscale. E70 X5d interior wasn't special at all, pretty middle of the road, relatively speaking. And that was with SAV package and cinn brown leather.

F85 X5M interior is light year's better than both and feels incredibly special. It's really not even comparable.

I agree, I love the X5M interior.

Added CF console, Performance mats, and fender trims so far. Have spacers, pedals, and Performance door sills en route.
