Question about upgrading wheels from 19" to 21"

Hello all!
First of all, thanks for looking at my thread.
I just bought a new 21" set to replace my 19" wheels. These are BMW 215 style, I believe they are 21x10 in front and 21x11 in the back.
Do I need to do any special moding or just put them on and good to go?
If yes, where should I go for it? BMW dealer, maybe?

Thanks again.

AFAIK, any tire shop should be able to swap your wheels.
Nothing special needed (like coding when you change your brakes to big M brakes).

t33h00 , it is straight swap as fooit mentioned.
The only thing you need to do is the reset the TPMS to sync the new TPMS in the 21".

Do you have m sport? If not, you might want to make sure you have fender trim or else it will show rims sticking out a wee bit

no need, the car will detect the new wheels and TPMS after you start driving a bit and it'll ask for confirmation to resync the TPMS.

I am glad that i found this post- Just to clarify:

I am going to replace my 19's on my 2016 to 20's which are 10/11. The wheels are dealer take offs with the sensors included. Will i need to ask a dealer to reprogram the new sensors or do I just put them on?

Is it necessary to remove my existing in the 19's?

Just reset TPMS in iDrive, should sync up automatically.

I just did this. Replaced my 18's with 20's. New TPMS can be reset through iDrive. DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise and try to charge you to "reprogram/relearn" TPMS
