Question /Poll - Do you use split screen?

Question/Poll

Still playing with every little feature of this car, trying to find out what works well.

Do you use split screen? What do you keep on the split screen?

I find that 3D Nav Map and Entertainment split works well for me... at least for now!

I use split screen a lot, most times it's the arrow display since I can't really see the heads up display with polarized sunglasses.

My main screen is normally music and the secondary is navigation. It would be great to control the functions on both screens by tabbing of some sort.

Same here, main for music, secondary with nav on to monitor congestion.

I just wish there was a way to get the bloody system to keep the track listings display on all the time rather than the way it does, per track, as the old I-Drive HDD system used to be
I also wish it would just play the whole thing in a loop as the old system, rather than having to keep selecting stuff

again and like always with my posts but whatever happened to the skip/back song function? I miss that instead of having to scroll to the next song. Nobody better be a smart butt and tell me to skip the song using the buttons by the cd tray.

With you on that, I really miss those buttons on the steering wheel to do that, as pressing the skip back button also cancelled the traffic news, which you now have to take a hand off the steering wheel and reach down and press the I-Drive knob to do.....a somewhat backward safety feature IMHO

Another classic case of 'mending something that wasn't broken' just for the sake of it rather than whether its a good idea or not

My 2013 F15 lets me go back in the tracks (and forward) just using the little rubber insert in the steering wheel. When I move it either way the first few tracks either way pop up in the display in the dash.

Yes, but it was the more useful function of the cancelling the traffic info that I was bemoaning its loss, rather than its primary function of track forwarding.....although, the fact that again, you could just use the buttons to do that, without taking your eye of the road with the flick of your thumb instead of having to do as now, look down to a list, was still more intuitive/safe than what they have now done.
Its fiddling with stuff that simply worked well, just for the sake of it and the idiot that signed it off as a 'good idea' needs one of these

Any information showing on the screen while in split mode is too small for me. I go full screen or I go home

Incidentally, with this setup, arrow display for nav will pop up on the right when you come to a turn and then go back to whatever you had it set to

True. On the E92 i loved the fact that if you had destination set up and were on the main menu when turning from the highway the display would change for a few seconds showing there is an exit even if you were n full screen mode. Change would be more obvious, i dont think i even notice pop-pout exits as too much is going on. Bad english sorry

All the time. Nav on the left and either music, trip computer or weather on the right.
