When is Best time of year to lease X5M?

Hello BMW forum pros! When's the best time of year to lease X5Ms? When does BMW (typically) have the best rates from your experiences??? Any tips? Suggestions when leasing one of these beasts??? ANY assistance would be helpful! Thanks! Happy Easter...

Been 58% for a while now. I think it's more about finding potential rebates or maximizing discounts like BMW club, driving events...

Not January...incentives usually run through the end of the year and then pick up again in Feb/March.

+1 .... This pissses me off so much, as I always do the MSDs on my leases ... always a thought-free decision for a guaranteed return.

Glad I'm at the beginning of 2 leases now ... we'll see what happens with MSDs in a couple of years.

agree. it's a strange decision at best. I think most people don't even know of MSDs so the additional cost to BMW is negligible and is more than offset by the fact that most people with MSDs probably take a better care of their cars that should help with resale values, etc.

Agreed, most states don't even allow it. I guess BMW just can't get the return on that loss and they know we're the guys that do take care of the cars anyways to your point. I know for me, w/o MSD, I will need better pricing, because at this point, there are too many other brands I'd be happy with. I think I calculated my savings to be nearly $3100 on $7700 in MSDs.

Just an FYI TO ALL; AARP discounts still available at participating sales centers through 5/31/17; the catch is they won't combine with a fleet deal and most sales teams are offering fleet pricing off the top. Just don't go for MSRP as you well know grind them before you walk in the door over the Internet. For non-M vehicles I'm sure they'd make an exception. This info from California sales teams so things could be diff elsewhere....show them the web page from

http://www.prestigebmw.com/aarp-member-offer.htm

All the details and disclaimers are there. I hope this helps at least 1 person.

Nice work! I was just wondering about this and I saw that you posted in my thread about it as well. It is good to know the details of these types of offers and what they are and are not compatible with. Thanks!

Do a calculation by hand of what they are offering and see how much they're numbers are off! Catch them in the act of ripping you off and stop them in their tracks! Follow the chart and it'll change your payment.

this is a good example; there are also many free excel based lease calculators that are available free online that do the same math for you. Note that bank fee (typical for all leases), doc fees, plate transfer or MV fees would be on top of that so you either pay these upfront or factor into the lease payment.

Now is the time to get your X6M. I'm switching to X5M from X5 5.0i. Great closeout sales are happening to clear out '17s. Lease rates aren't the best but prices are being slashed!

Why the downgrade?

Comes up....

Price slashed under invoice...rate is .00146 (not he best). The lease calculations worked well. I really hope this thread helps others score their M's at great prices etc! The prices and incentives will heat up even more as the summer begins although there will be slim pickings for left over '17's
