Got some parts installed - RaceChip Rocks

thanks to r33_RGSport ! Ben hooked me up.

I installed my Eisenman Race exhaust (sounds amazing)
I installed Carbon dash parts
I installed BMC filters
I installed the Racechip at setting D

right now I have logged a couple of passes with Dash Command
at 22.4 PSI and 19.3 PSI

this thing is a beast - makes way more boost than expected at 5600 feet. I think I need to dial her down a notch but I haven't exceeded the factory fuel mapping yet so maybe let it ride? I am confident the BMC filters have given me a lot more airflow than expected coupled with less back-pressure from opening the exhaust up. all good problems to have I guess!

awesome car this F86 is!

Is the Eissenman to loud? I am concerned more with highway/cruising speeds.

Love my RC also. Over 12k miles and still running strong and smooth

Actually going to pick one up for my new f83. RC pretty non existent in the f80 forums but there are other options in a cheaper or same price range. Prob why

I recently installed the eisenmann, and i find myself shifting manually to keep the drone out. At high way speed, keeping it in 7th gear is ideal. Yes it does sound great but really only when your stepping on it. I'm still on the fence about keeping it. It has settled down some since the install, so ill be seeing how it goes in the next few weeks.

Have you unplugged ASD? I read from Alan (forum member) that when it's unplugged it sounds great inside..

Yes. I unplugged mine. Changed the entire sound the car makes inside when driving.

That's on the too do list, after finishing the install, they had another car being coded and I had to run errands so couldn't wait. Since I've been driving with it for a bit i should be able to see the difference once ASD is coded off. From outside it does sound crazy.

turning ASD off makes a world of a difference. I just plugged it myself in the back and its night and day.

Holy crap, love these forums!!! I didn't know that you can just yank the plug on the ASD module. Did it today. Yes Alan is so right, night and day. With it on it sounds so boomy in the cabin and droned. Now perfect. 8th gear is actually usable about 80 with just a hint of drone. Before had to stay in 7th at 2300rpm and higher to keep it at bay. Plus is just feels so natural, what a difference. Exhaust is STAYING!!!

Glad it worked out. I tried driving with ASD on and off and the choice was clear.

ASD on I would have trouble having a conversation in the car. Sound was too much and fake. ASD off you have clear and real exhaust sounds coming from just the Eisenmann. Make no mistake the exhaust is still loud but only when you really get on it. What I love about this exhaust is they it's decently loud under normal driving but switches to INSANE under full throttle.

I found threads on disconnecting ASD for a stock stereo but fished around in my left rear interior panel and don't see anything obvious. Anyone have a pic of the offending plug on the B&O system?

Hi guys.

What is your opinion of BMC filters for X5M? Can it make any issues with the car?

Ok. I also have bought it. Today changed factory filters. Also got RC. But motor orange light poped up. After some driving.

And my question stays. Can the BMC filters harm the car?

Probably not. Did you install the filters first ? If so make sure you hooked everything back up correctly.
