Pandora...

Is there a way to add Pandora to the vehicle without being tethered or streaming through Bluetooth? I see there is a yelp, twitter and fb "apps" on the iDrive but when I go to the "store" there aren't any others available. Am I doing this wrong or are these the only ones available at this time?

All apps are being tethered as far as I know.
For Pandora, you have to connect the phone via cable to enable pandora app from idrive which gives you full control as if you are controlling from the phone.

The apps use phone data, not vehicle online services. So, if you were not to physically or wirelessly tether phone, then how would it work?

i don't mind using phone data but i don't like having to take my wife's phone out of her bag, connect, go through the lengthy steps etc. i was hoping that since i have the internet service in the vehicle i could download the pandora app to the vehicle but i guess not. seems like this could have been an easy thing to add but maybe they have agreements with siri/xm to not install other streaming programs. i have no idea.

I do not think it is an agreement issues as the new idrive has online streaming capabilities.
